Convenient MD, with Seacoast locations in Portsmouth and Exeter-Stratham, is offering free vaccinations this flu season.
Common signs of the flu include fever, fatigue, aches and pains, said Dr. Jo Gates, medical director at ConvenientMD.
Dr. Gates advises people to check with a medical professional if they experience such symptoms.
ConvenientMD is an affordable and convenient medical care provider for patients with non life-threatening illnesses and injuries. It was founded in Portsmouth in 2012. There are now 11 sites of care in New Hampshire, Maine and coming soon to Massachusetts. Anyone can walk into a ConvenientMD location between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. for a flu shot at no cost.
The goal is to “revolutionize patient experience,” said Ben Collins, the executive director for ConvenientMD. ConvenientMD’s goal, Collins said, is to provide quality care with an excellent medical team. Patients can walk in with less critical cases such as broken bones, colds, and flus.
The flu shot is “protection for you and the community,” said Collins.
According to Dr. Mark Pundt, the chief medical officer for ConvenientMD, the flu can be more threatening to some than others. Elderly, children and anyone who is immunosuppressed can suffer dangerous complications and even death if untreated for the flu. Getting the vaccine can prevent spreading and support public health.
