ConvenientMD has signed multi-year agreements with The New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA), Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and Maine Principals’ Association (MPA) to become the Official Urgent Care Provider of all three organizations. The partnership will include an integrated marketing presence throughout the year enabling ConvenientMD to connect with and support administrators, coaches, student-athletes, families, and fans of the NHIAA, MIAA and MPA member schools.
“ConvenientMD has been a truly wonderful partner of our association for many years, and we are pleased to have them return with this commitment for support,” said NHIAA Executive Director Jeff Collins.
“We welcome ConvenientMD into our family of partners who tirelessly aim to help us provide the best educational and athletic experiences possible for all students,” added Mike Burnham, Executive Director of the Interscholastic Division of the Maine Principals’ Association.
ConvenientMD’s Director of Community Integration, Kelly Casey adds, “We are proud to renew our commitment to the NHIAA, and create new long term partnerships with the MIAA and MPA in support of the associations’ member schools, coaches, and student-athletes. These partnerships are an extension of the many community partnerships that we engage in throughout the state allowing young athletes access to physicals, flu shots, and convenient appointments throughout the school year and athletic seasons.”
In support of local youth, sports, and education, ConvenientMD Urgent Care is offering $20 sports, school, and camp physicals. In addition, ConvenientMD is offering free flu shots for all ages and will donate $1 to a local organization for each flu shot given in September through November. About the NHIAA
Since 1947 the NHIAA has made progress in organizing, supervising and coordinating a state wide athletic program. Superintendents, principals, athletic directors, coaches, state school board association members, and State Department of Education personnel have served on the Council, the governing body of the organization. The administration of the sports has been carried out by committees chosen from school and non-school people throughout the state.
In addition to the administration of athletics, the Association has formulated standards to ensure that competition is equalized. Regulations have been adopted to meet changing times and conditions. Changes, when necessary, are implemented by constitutional or by-law amendment.
The New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association is a voluntary organization operated by a continually changing committee structure and an athletic council. Committee membership is voluntary. Positions on the Council are rotated over a period of years giving the opportunity for all viewpoints to be considered.
By this process, athletics takes its proper place in the entire educational program of the schools and makes a great contribution to the development of New Hampshire youth. Follow the NHIAA on Twitter at @NHIAA_LOA for more updates.
