ConvenientMD’s 2025 Medical Mission Trip: Serving Community, Health, and Hope in Peru

ConvenientMD Team Members

A dedicated team from ConvenientMD recently traveled to Ventanilla, Peru, just outside of Lima, to support Sagrada Familia, a remarkable orphanage and school serving nearly 1,000 children ranging from toddlers to teenagers. The visit was in response to a call for support from the organization and its affiliated community clinic, where access to consistent, high-quality healthcare is limited.

Throughout the week, the ConvenientMD team worked side by side with local partners to deliver compassionate medical care to patients of all ages. The group treated a wide range of health needs, conducted wellness visits for children, many of whom were receiving their very first medical checkups, and provided health education to families in the surrounding community.

Beyond the clinic, the team immersed themselves in daily life at Sagrada Familia. They visited local homes to share wellness guidance, supported students in their studies with plenty of enthusiasm for practicing English, and connected with staff and children through shared experiences, including a lively soccer match between Team USA and the Sagrada Familia teachers.

For the clinicians and staff involved, the experience was both humbling and deeply meaningful. The resilience, warmth, and gratitude of the children, families, and educators at Sagrada Familia left a lasting impression, offering a powerful reminder of the impact of community, connection, and access to care, privileges often taken for granted.

ConvenientMD extends sincere gratitude to every team member who participated in this mission and represented the organization’s values with compassion, curiosity, and purpose. Their commitment reflects a broader dedication to improving health and well-being not only locally, but globally.
