Yes! ConvenientMD is excited to now accept lab orders by partnering with LabCorp. You can just walk in with your lab order form, without needing to make an appointment. You can learn more about lab services here.

You have tested positive for the virus that causes COVID-19, take the following steps to protect others regardless of your vaccination status:

• People who are infected but asymptomatic (never develop symptoms): Isolation can end at least 5 days after the first positive test (with day 0 being the date their specimen was collected for the positive test), if these people can continue to wear a properly well-fitted mask around others for 5 more days after the 5-day isolation period. However, if symptoms develop after a positive test, their 5-day isolation period should start over (day 0 changes to the first day of symptoms).
• Isolation can be discontinued at least 5 days after symptom onset (day 1 through day 5 after symptom onset, with day 0 being the first day of symptoms), and after resolution of fever for at least 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medications) and with improvement of other symptoms. Wear a well-fitting mask around others at home and in public for 5 additional days after the end of your 5-day isolation period. Follow CDC’s recommendations for isolation.
• Take additional precautions on days 6-10, such as avoiding travel and situations where you will come in contact with individuals at high risk for severe disease. If you are unable to wear a mask when around others, you should continue to isolate for 10 days.
• Contact your healthcare provider as soon as possible if you are more likely to get very sick because of being an older adult, have underlying medical conditions, or if your symptoms get worse.

Return for care, reach out to your primary care provider or go to the ER if you develop new or worsening symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath or weakness.

The following applies regardless of your COVID-19 vaccination status: You don’t have symptoms:

• If you were tested more than 5 days after being in close contact with someone with COVID-19 you are likely not infected and do not need to quarantine. Continue to wear a well-fitting mask when around others at home and in public until 10 days after your last close contact.
• If you were tested less than 5 days since your close contact, you should get tested again after 5 days as it is possible to receive a false negative result due to it being too early to detect the virus. In the meantime, you should isolate until day 5.
• Monitor for symptoms for 10 days after exposure. If you become sick, stay home and get tested. Contact your doctor with any concerning symptoms.

You do have symptoms:

• You should isolate away from others until you are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications and your symptoms are improving.
• Repeat testing if symptoms worsen or are not improving within 5 days. If you were tested less than 5 days since your close contact, you should get tested again after 5 days as it is possible to receive a false negative result due to it being too early to detect the virus. In the meantime, you should isolate until day 5.
• Contact your healthcare provider about your symptoms, especially if they worsen, and about follow-up testing.

Insurance is not required to be seen at ConvenientMD, and we strive to keep care affordable. For those paying out of pocket, all urgent care visits start at a flat fee of $175. This fee will increase if you need additional services such as such as X-rays, sutures, EKGs, orthopedic supplies, or immunizations. Your total cost will not exceed $265 this price regardless of the number of ConvenientMD services needed. The only added charges you may be responsible for above $265 are pre-packaged prescriptions. Laboratory services may be billed separately through ConvenientMD Laboratory, and is not included in the $265 limit on charges.

If you have insurance, we will collect any applicable copay at the time of your visit. Once your claim is processed, your insurance company will determine your financial responsibility based on your specific benefits, which may include deductible, copay, and/or coinsurance amounts. Insurance coverage and patient responsibility vary by plan. Final patient responsibility is determined by the insurance carrier after claim processing. We strive to keep care affordable for those without insurance. We are considered an urgent care facility. Traditionally, walk-in clinics are tied to larger hospital organizations. However, this can vary depending on the insurance company so we do recommend that you call your insurance company directly for the best answer.

All of our staff are in network, we do not contract out of network providers.

We want billing to be simple and surprise-free. At your visit, we’ll ask to keep a credit card on file. This allows us to securely and quickly process any balance after your insurance has paid. If a balance remains, patients may receive balance notifications via SMS through SOLV, similar to the communications used for appointment registration and check-in. This notification will be sent before any charge is made and you may choose a different payment method if you prefer. If you do not want to leave a credit card on file, you may choose to make a $75 payment to cover potential future patient responsibility for your visit. Any overpayment will be refunded once ConvenientMD receives payment from your insurance company.

ConvenientMD accepts the following forms of payment at the time of service:

New Hampshire & Maine: credit cards, debit cards, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).

Massachusetts: cash, credit cards, debit cards, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).

Effective June 11, 2024, we are no longer able to accept checks at the clinics for co-pays or outstanding balances. Cash is no longer accepted at our clinics in New Hampshire and Maine.

Since we are a walk-in urgent care center, our providers do not take on a set number of patients the way traditional primary care providers do. We staff each of our clinics thoughtfully and strategically with doctors, physician assistants (PAs), and nurse practitioners (NPs) depending on the clinic’s patient volume.

We are not affiliated with any hospitals; however, we collaborate and build relationships with the local medical community. That way we can refer our patients in situations that may require a specialist, lolong-termare, or if the treatment required is outside of our scope of care.

Yes, our physicians are in PECOS (the Provider Enrollment, Chain, and Ownership System). PECOS is an online Medicare enrollment platform where providers and suppliers can submit, review, and update enrolment applications and information. For more information about PECOS you can visit www.cms.gov

Some of our doctors are Board Certified Emergency Room physicians and some are Board Certified Family Medicine Physicians.

We staff our clinics with a top-tiered medical team of MDs, PAs, RNs, X-ray technologists, and other friendly medical professionals. Our average physician has at least 10-20 years of experience and typically comes from an ER background.
